Dr. Vibha Shetty

Director – Training and Lifelong Learning

Dr Vibha A Shetty is a Senior Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology under the Faculty of Dental Science, RUAS since 2013. She has Bachelor’s (1994) and Master’s (1996) degrees in Dental Surgery from Mangalore University. Her main subjects of research include local drug delivery in implant surgery, bone bed preparation and implant design.

In her long and distinguished association with academia, she has served as a member of the Faculty of Dentistry and PhD Dissertation Committee at RGUHS (2011). Subsequently, she held several positions of prominence including Head of the Division of Implantology (2012 — 2015), Director of Training and Lifelong Learnings (2014 ‑2017) and Chairperson, Board of Studies (2013 – 2014). Dr Vibha Shetty was a Course Director, Certificate Course of Oral Implantology at Rajiv Gandhi University of Applied Sciences (2009 – 2013) before taking on a similar role at RUAS (2014 — 2015). She headed the Department of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics including Oral Implantology during the years 2006 to 2013. She was on the Executive Committee, Indian Society of Prosthodontics, Restorative and Periodontics (2013 – 2019), a part of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of the Indian Prosthodontic Society and a Reviewer of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
