Dr. Hemanth brings over 20 years of experience. Presently, he is a Professor of Community Medicine and the Joint Registrar, Administration at the Medical College.

He has done his MD in Community Medicine from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Over his tenure, he has served in various capacities viz. Teaching, Service, Research and Administration.

He has contributed to the medical sector through his involvement in Medical Waste Management and Community-based rehabilitation of persons with disabilities

He has more than 25 publications and reports to his credit. He has life membership of Karnataka Association of Community Health and Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management
