Dr. Sanjay Ramkrishana Bijwe has joined RUAS as Dean, Research & Innovation from July 2026. He did his M.B.B.S. & M.D. Pathology from Government Medical College, Nagpur – Nagpur University.

Senior Medical Education and Health Systems Leader with 35+ years of experience across working in Government Medical Education Ministry & Academics in Government & Private Medical Colleges, Research & Innovation, NMC/MCI/NBE Assessments as Coordinator, Training Assessors, framing Regulations, Public Health Administration, Medical College Setup, UG/PG Seat Expansion Medical Infrastructure Planning, Institutional Development/Upgradation, PPP policy and Digital Health – HMIS Implementation and AI in Healthcare & Medical Education.

Former – Joint Director Medical Education & Research Government of Maharashtra, Dean Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur, Professor & Head Pathology/Neuropathology Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai.
