Ms. Priya Arjun

Ms Priya Arjun worked in the Food and Beverage Service Department for the Taj Group of Hotels before entering the world of academic teaching. She began as a Lecturer in Food and Beverage Service at M S Ramaiah College of Hotel Management in 1999 and established the Placement Cell of the institute in 2004. Spearheading the Technical Development Programme, she has helped successfully place students as Management Trainees, in supervisory positions and as Industrial Exposure Trainees in reputed hospitality chains. She has coordinated several training programmes for the Food and Beverage Service staff at various reputed institutions. These include Angsana Oasis Spa and Resort, the ITC WelcomLEAD Programme, Zenith Food Solutions, Shriram Properties, UB City and Indian Airforce.
She has a Master’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management as well as a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. She is a member of the Global Harmonisation Initiative which is a joint activity of the Institute of Food Technologists International Division and the European Federation of Food Science and Technology, a network of individual scientists and scientific organisations to promote harmonisation of global food safety regulations and legislation through sound science. She is also a member of the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists, India.
