Center for Entrepreneurship

About

Center for Entrepreneurship is a hub for all things entrepreneurial at RUAS.

It is a vibrant center for innovative thinking, learning, and research in entrepreneurship. We aim to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders through a range of educational programs, research initiatives, and practical resources.

At the heart of our center is a talented team of faculty members, researchers, and industry experts who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the study and practice of entrepreneurship. Our faculty members come from diverse backgrounds and fields of study, including business, engineering, social sciences, and the arts, enabling us to offer a multidisciplinary perspective on entrepreneurship.

Through our educational programs, we provide students with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to succeed as entrepreneurs and innovators.

Enable new venture creation and growth by providing practical support through mentorship, competency development and networking benefits. The Small Steps and the Giant Leap…

Most people think that entrepreneurship is about finding a great idea and taking a plunge into the big, blue ocean of success and money. But starting up is rarely about taking one big leap. It is about trying several not-so-good ideas before the right one. It is about taking many small steps before taking a giant leap. "The Startup Society" at RUAS is a forum for members to take the small steps and make the giant leaps.

The club hosts activities and sessions that help participants develop skills and attitudes that play an essential role in entrepreneurship. The sessions are structured around a central theme or skill. The core theme is introduced with a short introductory lecture. A major part of the session involves practical activities, interactions, and reflections.

Partnership with C-CAMP

To encourage entrepreneurship among students of life sciences, biotechnology, medical and allied health sciences, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), the foremost bio and life sciences incubator in India.

Partnership with Babson College, USA

RUAS entered into a strategic partnership with Babson College USA, widely considered as the world’s topmost college for entrepreneurship. The partnership with Babson is aimed at strengthening RUAS’ offerings in the space of entrepreneurship education and pedagogy and will be facilitated by the Center for Entrepreneurship at RUAS.

CFE Partnered with IIT Madras’ Center for Research on Startups and Risk Financing (CREST) for the conference ICCSI 2023 held at IIT Madras, the NIRF Rank #1 institution
