Dr. Deveswaran R
Professor
Dr. Deveswaran R is a Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics, RUAS. Additionally, he is the Head of the Drug Design and Development Centre. With a Master’s in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Philosophy degree to his name, he has been a part of the academic profession for the past 22 years. His research activities are mainly focused on studying sustained release dosage forms, delivery systems for wounds, product development in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics including herbal products. He is a life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. He has been accepted as a Reviewer for the Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, Journal of Micro-encapsulation, Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Carbohydrate Polymer, International Journal of Biological and Chemical Sciences and Asian Journal of Pharmaceutics. He is Academic Editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International. His works has appeared in 120 journal publications till date. He has received various research Grants from ICMR, DBT, Govt. of Karnataka and from several pharmaceutical industries such as ITC, MicroLabs, Sami Labs, Group Pharmaceuticals etc for product development

Development of liquid bandages for treatment of inflammation and wounds, Development of co-processed excipients, oral sustained release suspension, micro-spheres, nano particles for controlled release, liquisolid compacts, poly herbal formulations, solubility enhancement of drugs and dosage forms, pharmaceutical excipients from plant source, Development and validation of analytical techniques by UV and HPLC.
