About Us
The Faculty of Pharmacy (FPH) was established in 1992 to offer students a comprehensive education in the field of Pharmacy
Led by qualified and attentive professors, FPH adopts an outcome-based approach to education. Students are actively encouraged to complement their classroom learning with industry-centric seminars, workshops, training programs, and symposia. The curriculum is also designed to nurture students’ leadership and entrepreneurship skills, ensuring that they are set up for success in their professional careers.
The staff and faculty members of FPH have, over the years, won more than 25 awards. These include innovation awards, travel grants, and recognitions for the work as researchers, presenters, and professors. On an average, 10% of our final B. Pharm students qualify for the GPAT examinations.

Highlights
Proctoral System
Under the Proctoral System, every student is assigned a faculty member as a Proctor or a mentor.
These mentors offer guidance, support and encouragement to students, helping them as they progress along their academic journey. From the choice of electives to their academic performance, from attendance to meeting their credit requirements, students can approach these mentors with any and every query.
Proctors also interact with parents/guardians and keep them updated on the progress of students. To ensure that they reap the benefits of the Proctoral System, students are advised to be in regular contact with their Proctors.
Innovation Centre
At the Innovation Centre, students team up with faculty members to bring their innovative ideas to life. Ideas are assessed based on their relevance to-and impact on-society. These are then translated into working projects that are entered in national and international competitions, and for registration as patents.
Industry Visit
Students can opt for an internship in an industry, a business or research organisation during this module. Alternately, students can undertake a mini project that requires self-directed study to be pursued with an affiliated faculty member. It is also necessary for the student to submit a report and make a presentation to the members of the panel constituted by the HoD for assessment.
Partner Facilities
The Ramaiah Group was established in 1962 with a teaching hospital for medical students founded in 1985. This hospital caters to various income levels with a wide range of casualties. Students from FPH get exposure to live cases training them for the future.
