Dr. Tapas Kumar Sahoo is an academician and researcher in the field of Commerce and Management with a strong background in finance and quantitative research. He holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree with specialization in Accounting and Finance. He has qualified the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Commerce twice and has also qualified UGC-NET in Management, demonstrating his strong academic competence in both domains. His doctoral research focuses on corporate finance, particularly on the topic “Effect of Selected Macroeconomic Factors on Capital Structure Financing: A Critical Study on Indian Automobile and Automobile Ancillaries Firms.” His research interests include financial management, capital structure, Financial econometrics, and behavioral Finance.


He has teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, where he has taught subjects such as Accounting, Finance, Business Statistics, and Research Methodology. In addition to teaching, he has actively contributed to academic research. He has published several research papers in reputed journals indexed in Scopus, ABDC and UGC CARE. He has also gained research experience through his involvement as a Research Associate in an ICSSR-funded project. His work reflects a commitment to advancing knowledge in finance and supporting evidence-based academic research.
