Dr. S. P. Sreenivas Padala is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), Bengaluru. He obtained his M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Construction Engineering & Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, after which he worked for five years in the construction industry in planning and project management roles.

At RUAS, he teaches a wide range of courses in construction management for B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) and M.Tech. (Construction Management) students. He has supervised 4 undergraduate projects, 38 postgraduate dissertations, and currently guides 3 Ph.D. scholars in the construction management domain.

Dr. Sreenivas has published 18 journal papers (Q1/Q2 indexed in International Journal of Construction Management, Construction Innovation, Engineering, Construction & Architectural Management, JFMPC, etc.), 13 conference papers, and 9 book chapters with reputed publishers such as Springer, Emerald, and Elsevier. He also serves as a reviewer for leading journals including International Journal of Construction Management (Taylor & Francis), Engineering, Construction & Architectural Management (Emerald), and Journal of Building Engineering (Elsevier).

He is the Principal Investigator of a funded project on Digital Twin-based Real-time Construction Project Progress Monitoring System, supported by the RUAS Seed Money Grant (₹2,90,025; Feb 2024 – Apr 2025), which has led to student awards and a Q1 journal publication. His research expertise lies in Project controls, Resource-based Scheduling, cost management, Sustainable construction, Digital technologies applications - Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Twins, IoT, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.
