Dr. Monalisha Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Analytics at MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, India. Prior to that she was a Postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Economics at IIT Bombay, India, since October 2023. She obtained her Ph.D. in Development Studies from Institute of Development Studies Kolkata, India in 2023. Prior to that she did Maters in Geography from Presidency University, Kolkata, India. During her Ph.D., she received University Grants Commission Fellowship as well as NDIC-NCAER Student Research Grant. She had also worked as Honorary Research Associate and Research Assistant at the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata. She has published extensively in various reputed national and international journals, bulletins and reports. She has also written in various newspapers.
