- Emphasis on applied economics. Going beyond Economics as the theoretical model of how societies function, the focus is on implementation of that model broadly and in a myriad of specific circumstances. Teaching and learning aims at equipping students with advanced mixed methods analytical skills.
- Emphasis on computational social sciences at the intersection of economics, sociology, and data science. Teaching and learning focus on exploring the complexities of social behavior, institutions, and structures, and to analyze and address contemporary societal issues.
- Emphasis is on Public Affairs, Law, and Governance with a focus on sustainable human development through Praxis - combining policy and practice - and understanding the roles and responsibilities of the governance triumvirate - government, the market, and civil society. A key element is instruments that can enhance accountability and transparency.
