Kritishnu did his graduation from the University of Calcutta and, post-graduation, from Jadavpur University. He is a Ph.D. research scholar in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. In his doctoral work, he has explored the interlinkages between forest dependence, forest management, and ecological identity in the. Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Before starting his doctorate, he contributed to developing vulnerability profiles for the Indian Western Himalayan Region. Kritishnu shared his research in reputed conferences, journals, and other publications. His current research interests involve environmental and ecological economics, economics of climate change, economic anthropology, and community research.
