Dr. Jyotsna Kumar, an assistant professor of chemistry, is a highly accomplished researcher, teacher, and counselor. Her research interests include the synthesis of small drug molecules and the development of nanomaterials and nanofilms for biomedical applications and environmental remediation. She had received numerous awards in India and abroad during her long and distinguished career in academia and research. She consistently supports human-required initiatives to ensure holistic growth in her personality. Her dedication at work reflects her being a very popular teacher among undergraduates, postgraduates, and research scholars. Her professional commitment, creative thinking, and eagerness to learn echo in her day's activities. Her more than 25 years teaching along with national and international exposure developed soft skills, expansive culture, and better adaptability with enhanced horizon.

Her research portfolio spans a broad spectrum of topics, encompassing: the design and synthesis of small drug molecules/phyto-derivatives, their computational studies and biological activities, material science, green chemistry, fabrication of eco-friendly films and nano materials for bio-medical applications and waste management, exploration of herbal and natural products, heavy metal remediation using environmentally sustainable method. Her research work has also been recognized and applauded widely. Having published papers in peer-reviewed, Scopus indexed journals, she is, in turn, an honorary reviewer and associate editor for many such publications.

Throughout her extensive and illustrious tenure in academia and research, she is continuously dedicated to supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
