Dr. Giresha A. S. is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry with over six years of teaching and a decade of research experience. He earned his Ph.D. from Mangalore University, focusing on secretory phospholipase A₂ inhibitors from medicinal plants for anti-inflammatory activity. His research interests include enzyme inhibition, natural product biochemistry, antioxidant studies, and nano-biotechnology.
He has published over 27 research papers, authored 3 book chapters, and holds 31 published patents and 2 Trade marks in functional foods, phytochemical formulations, and cosmetic innovations. Recipient of the Young Scientist Award (IESRF, 2023) and ICMR-SRF, Dr. Giresha continues to contribute to academia through research guidance, curriculum development, and translational biochemical innovations aimed at improving human health and nutrition.
