Dr Suma B Venkatappa is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry under the Faculty of Pharmacy at RUAS. She has 22 years of academic and research experience to her credit. As a Research Guide, she has been approved to guide postgraduates under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and also postgraduate and PhD scholars of Ramaiah University of Applied sciences.

She has life memberships at Karnataka State Pharmacy Council and Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India. She has lent her editing skills by taking on the responsibilities of being an Academic Editor for the Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medical Research. She is also on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Technology. She completed her PhD studies in Pharmacy at SASTRA University, Tanjore (2017).
