Dr. Sharon Furtado is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, with over 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.), Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutics from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She is actively involved in teaching UG and PG courses and has guided/guiding research projects at UG, PG and Ph.D levels. Her research interests include development of biomaterials and phytochemicals for wound healing and development of novel delivery systems for herbal actives. She has authored five book chapters and has an Indian patent to her credit.
