Dr. Puja Krishna is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the School of Social Sciences at M.S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. She has completed her PhD from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India. Her doctoral research primarily explores the sociological underpinnings of health beliefs, health-seeking behavior, and treatment-seeking practices among families in urban Patna.
Dr. Puja Krishna holds both Bachelor (B.A.) and Master's (M.A.) degrees in Sociology and qualified for the UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2019. She was awarded the University Gold Medal for being the highest scorer in Bachelor of Arts, Sociology in Patna University in 2017. Dr. Puja Krishna was also the recipient of the Sharda Devi Memorial Scholarship and the Patna Women's College Alumni Award for her recognition as a merit scholar in 2016. Her academic work is recognized through publications in reputed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
In addition, Dr. Puja is an organized and dependable scholar who effectively manages multiple responsibilities with a positive attitude. She strongly believes in teamwork and is committed to collaborative excellence in teaching, research, and academic service.
