Dr. Prajwal K T is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in Bangalore and a Senior Member of IEEE. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, with a thesis on the design of a novel conical energy harvester. His academic foundation also includes an M.Tech. in Sensors and Control Systems Engineering and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Dr. Prajwal's research is focused on cutting-edge fields such as sensor design and fabrication, energy harvesting, and advanced control systems. He has extensive experience with computational tools like ANSYS and MATLAB and explores AI applications for energy management in smart grids. His expertise also extends to robotics and the development of nonlinear robotic control systems.
He is a prolific researcher with numerous papers published in Scopus-indexed journals and presented at prestigious IEEE conferences. His innovative work is further demonstrated by several Indian patents, including granted patents for a "Conical shaped Electromagnetic Energy Harvester" and a "Method and System for Continuous Power Supply System from Multiple Energy Source".
Dr. Prajwal is an active contributor to the academic community, serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals and on the editorial boards of several publications. He has successfully guided numerous student projects and has secured research grants for his work.
His dedication to education and research has been recognised with several honours, including the "Annual Exemplary Teacher Award" in 2025, multiple Best Paper awards at international conferences, and a Faculty Achiever award in 2023.
