Dr. Mallaradhya H. M. is an academician, researcher, and robotics educator with expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Manufacturing Systems, and Smart Manufacturing. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from VTU, Belagavi.
He is currently serving as Program Head – Robotics and Assistant Professor in the Department of Automotive and Robotics Engineering, M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), Bengaluru. At MSRUAS, he plays a key role in curriculum development, laboratory establishment, industry collaborations, research activities, and skill development initiatives in Robotics and Automation. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Industrial Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing Processes, Fluid Power Systems, PLC and Industrial Automation, CAD/CAM, Rapid Prototyping, and Smart Manufacturing.
Prior to joining MSRUAS, Dr. Mallaradhya served as an Assistant Professor at SJCIT, Chickballapur, where he dedicated over a decade to teaching, research, and academic administration.
His research interests encompass Industrial Robotics, Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Automation, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Welding Technology, Composite Materials, Computer Vision, and AI-enabled Robotics. He has published numerous research articles in reputed SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals, including ACS Omega, Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Systems, and other leading international journals. He has also presented research papers at national and international conferences and actively reviews manuscripts for reputed journals.
Dr. Mallaradhya is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the AICTE Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) funded project titled "Atmanirbhar Robotics: Indigenous Development of Educational Robotics Kits using RISC-V for Schools and Higher Education", with a sanctioned funding of ₹29 lakh. The project aims to develop indigenous, affordable, and industry-relevant educational robotics platforms to strengthen robotics education and support the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
He has successfully guided undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, organized numerous Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, industrial training programs, and skill enhancement initiatives in Robotics, ROS 2, Industrial Automation, PLC, Arduino, Computer Vision, and Industry 4.0 technologies. He actively collaborates with industries and professional bodies to bridge the gap between academia and industrial practice.
Dr. Mallaradhya is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and contributes to academic leadership through curriculum design, accreditation activities, research mentoring, and industry-academia collaborations. His commitment lies in advancing robotics education, promoting interdisciplinary research, and developing innovative engineering solutions for future manufacturing systems.
