Ms. Abhirami is a passionate Economics educator, holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the esteemed Jawaharlal Nehru University and has also cleared UGC-NET and JRF. She has previously taught at Shri Ram College of Commerce and St. Stephen’s College of University of Delhi; wherein she taught courses including: Introductory and Intermediate Macro Economics, Basic Development Economics , IT Skills and Data Analysis.

Her areas of research interest include issues concerning developing economies like India namely: climate change, debt burden, unemployment, population growth, migration, gender pay gap and low female labour force participation rate.

Moreover, Abhirami is someone who strongly believes in the importance of an interactive, adaptive classroom teaching environment in stimulating students to apply their knowledge of economic concepts to understand current issues affecting the domestic and global economy.
