Dr. J. T. Thirukrishna is a distinguished academician, researcher, and academic leader with over 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and institutional administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University and specializes in Data Science, Cyber Security, and Wireless Sensor Networks. He has served in key leadership roles including Head of the Department and IQAC Head, contributing significantly to academic quality and institutional development. Dr. Thirukrishna is a recognized Research Supervisor under VTU and serves as a Research Advisory Committee member at several reputed Indian universities. He has secured multiple research grants from DST, AICTE, and VTU, and has submitted several high-value research proposals to agencies such as VGST, Microsoft, and NITI Aayog. With a strong research profile, he has authored 60+ publications in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals published by Elsevier and Springer, along with five books, multiple book chapters, and seven patents, including one internationally granted patent in the United Kingdom. His contributions have been recognized through awards such as the Global Teacher Award, Best Research Performer Award, and Award of Excellence in Research. A Senior Member of IEEE and Life Member of CRSI and ISTE, he actively contributes to the global academic community as a reviewer for leading publishers including Elsevier and Springer, and frequently delivers keynote talks, guest lectures, and chairs international conferences, while also organizing FDPs, conferences, hackathons, and faculty immersion programs to promote research and innovation in computing education.
