Dr. Kiran Kumar B M currently works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, where he also holds key leadership roles as Convenor of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Head of LEADS – Next Gen Centre, Coordinator of the AICTE IDEA Lab, and Coordinator of the DRONE Lab. With over 11 years of teaching experience at reputed institutions in Bangalore, he has contributed extensively to both academics and institutional development.
He earned his Ph.D. in Power Electronic Converters for Hybrid Renewable Energy Sources from MSRUAS and has published 17 peer-reviewed journal papers, 15 international conference papers, and 4 book chapters. His research spans power electronics, renewable energy, and robotics, supported by three funded projects.
A Senior Member of IEEE, Life Member of ISTE, and active member of IFERP, he also serves as the Branch Counselor of IEEE SB RUAS, fostering innovation and holistic student development.

- Honored with the Best Project Award for the M.Tech final year project titled "Drive and Control for a Robotic Feeding Arm" from MSRIT for the academic year 2013-2014.
- Designed and demonstrated a mini project titled "Beetle Robot" at the College Day Annual Festival - 2011, HKBKCE, and secured the First place.
- Guided a project titled "Line Following Robot" and secured the 3rd Place in "ROBODIUM @ASE-RASE'17," a National Level Robotic Competition held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Bangalore campus on 8th and 9th of April 2017.
- Served as the Student Chair of the IEEE Student Branch at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore.
- Converted the majority of the guided B.Tech and M.Tech projects into conference/journal papers.
- Represented RUAS in the International Competition of Word Robotic Olympiad 2016 held at Delhi during November 2016.
