The Ramaiah Group of educational institutions are known nation-wide for its Engineering and Medical schools, hospitals and applied engineering capabilities in various fields.

The group has a huge campus that houses two well-known hospitals that jointly have a capacity of more than 1600 beds to provide high quality healthcare, medical education and a platform for medical research. The campus also houses Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT) and The Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, an upcoming innovation intensive University with keen interests in multidisciplinary research, and having faculties such as Engineering and Technology, Art and Design, Management and Commerce, Basic Sciences, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy and Hospitality Management.

A Techno Centre which is part of the Ramaiah University has the necessary human resources and infrastructure with more than 15 years’ experience in product development and has solved and executed more than 500 research and engineering problems in both defence and industry.

With all available resources of such high credibility in different fields of medicine and engineering within one single campus, in the year 2017 the management of Ramaiah group of institutions GEF (M) has established Ramaiah Innovation Centre for Healthcare Technologies (RICH-Tech) to develop products in the healthcare domain by leveraging the talent pool of human resources and facilities available.

  • That can be a device, system, software or a mobile App
  • That can be an improvement over an existing product,
  • That can be existing product with additional features(Diagnostic, Therapeutic, Monitoring or any other)
  • The Product should have an application and must have scope for commercialisation
