Student Welfare

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences offers a host of initiatives that aim to ensure the safety, comfort and convenience of all students.

Healthcare

The health of our students is top priority for us at RUAS.

The University conducts comprehensive dental and medical check-ups annually for all its students.

In the Peenya Campus, a doctor visits the campus every day to check on the health issues of students. An ambulance is also kept ready 24/7 to drive students to the nearest medical facility in case of an emergency.

In the Gnanagangothri Campus, students have access to the four Ramaiah Hospitals available on campus. They can also consult doctors, and receive advice and treatment for all health-related issues.

Insurance

All students of the University are covered by group medical insurance of Rs. 50,000, and group accident insurance of Rs. 1,00,000. Insurance ID cards are distributed to the students at the beginning of their journey with RUAS.

Financial Assistance

The University offers support and guidance in helping students get financial assistance for their education, either in the form of scholarships of education loans. The University also offers scholarships for meritorious students.

Student Grievance Redressal

The University has a student grievance redressal process in place to help resolve non-academic issues faced by students.

Student Bus Pass Application Verification

Several students of the university use public transportation to commute to and from the University, opt for student bus passes that offer them concessions.

Students using BMTC buses can apply online for their bus pass. The University will verify their application and submit it to BMTC for further processing.
