At RUAS, we believe that education should broaden horizons, expand cultural understanding, and promote a multidisciplinary, multicultural approach to solving social problems.
Our Study Abroad Programmes (SAP) offer students the chance to experience an international education. Students participate in an exchange program with one of the many universities across the globe that we have an MoU with. In addition to learning in a new education system, SAP gives students the chance to learn about a new country and immerse themselves in its culture and traditions.
While the international experience will stand students in good stead in their professional careers, SAP can also be extremely beneficial for those considering studying, working, or living abroad. It will not only acquaint students well with a different country, but will also give them an understanding of the quality of life and the scope for professional growth they can expect there.
Study Abroad Programmes are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as Ph.D. students
Duration and Timeline of SAP
Undergraduate students can opt for SAP at the end of the 6th semester and before the start of the 7th. The duration of their student exchange program can be up to 8 weeks.
Postgraduate students can do their SAP for up to 5 weeks during their elective module schedule.
The duration of SAP for Ph. D. students is considerable. Doctoral students are encouraged to use their SAP to get an international perspective on their work and research
Choosing a University
Students can do the SAP with any of the universities that RUAS has signed an MoU with. This includes internationally renowned universities and institutes in the US, UK, Russia, France, Poland, Nigeria and Liberia, among others. RUAS is constantly working to expand its network of universities to ensure that our students have a plethora of options to choose from.
Students can also go to a university that RUAS does not have tie-ups with provided that they are able to obtain approval from said university. They can also choose to do their study abroad program in an industry or research laboratory located abroad.
RUAS will help students with the documents necessary for their travel, and will also help them with their accommodation. Additionally, the University may also offer its guidance to the partner university regarding the learning and experiences that it thinks would help enhance the student’s SAP.
Fees and Expenses
As part of the MoUs with RUAS, partner universities waive off program fees for the exchange program.
However, students must be prepared to bear the expenses of travel, accommodation, and local expenses.
The University can help procure scholarships in exceptional cases.
Transfer of Credits
A student’s department assesses and awards grades for the SAP based on the student’s presentation and reports.
