MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences hosted its 9^th Edition of the much anticipated athletic event, Sphoorthi 2023 – 24 from 9^th ‑10^th February attracting a large gathering of students and faculty at the MSR Grounds.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Abhishek N Shetty an international athlete and prestigious Eklavya awardee and Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Honourable Vice Chancellor, MSRUAS. 

The day commenced with the unfurling of the university flag and followed by a torch run by the university athletic champions and an impressive march past by students representing their respective faculties. 

The athletic meet featured a diverse range track and field events allowing the students and faculty the opportunity to compete with zeal and enthusiasm, demonstrate their skills and teamwork in events such as races, long jump, high jump, shot put, discuss throw and tug of war. 

The spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition echoed throughout the athletic meet.This event aimed to instil and showcase the remarkable athletic skills and competitive spirit of the university’s students.
