Ramaiah Medical College Celebrates its 40th Graduation Day


Ramaiah Medical College, one of the oldest private medical colleges in the state of Karnataka, celebrated its 40th graduation day on Wednesday, 6th March, 2024. The graduation day was well attended by dignitaries and with a formal function at the decorated auditorium. 

At the graduation ceremony, Dr. Niharika Arora received the Chan Pek lui award and she is also the topper of the academic year. 378 medical students graduated during this ceremony. 

The chief guest of the ceremony was Dato’ Dr. Chan Pek lui, (DIMP) MBBS, MRCP (Edin) National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Certified Medical Impairment Assessor, Internal Medicine Specialist, Consultant Physician, Chan Medical Specialist Clinic, Pahang, Malaysia and Dr. Chan Pek lui is an alumna of Ramaiah Medical College.

In her motivational speech, Dato’ Dr. Chan Pek Lui expressed, Standing here reminds me of a sense of nostalgia. I would like to say, The medical field presents numerous challenges, demanding our highest dedication. Strive for excellence, and trust that divine intervention will guide you through the rest. As you climb in your educational journey, remember that a broader perspective awaits you in the future. Remember medicine is an art, mastering each side of your chosen path is important. Effective communication is supreme and always bear in mind that patients are the architects of our medical journeys.”
