"Jeevadhara” - Blood Donation Drive


On January 12, 2024, in commemoration of National Youth Day and National Pharmacist Day, Rotaract Club of RUAS and NSS RUAS, in collaboration with Dept. of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Center, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and Faculty of Pharmacy organized Jeevadhara” — Blood Donation Drive at the Dwarka Auditorium. The event aimed to promote the noble cause of blood donation.

Ramaiah Memorial Hospital ensured the presence of medical professionals, ensuring a safe and organized blood donation process. Trained healthcare staff were on-site to conduct pre-donation screenings and oversee the donation process. A total of 31 units of blood were collected during the drive. Donors included students, faculty, and staff. The collected blood will contribute to addressing the ongoing demand for blood in hospitals. 

The event concluded with a closing ceremony where certificates of appreciation were presented to blood donors, volunteers, and organizers. Representatives from Ramaiah Memorial Hospital expressed gratitude for the successful collaboration. Overall, the blood donation drive proved instrumental in meeting critical healthcare needs and strengthening community bonds.
