RUAS organized a Distinguished Lecture by Prof. J. N. Reddy, Member – National Academy of Engineering and O’Donnell Foundation Chair IV Chair Professor & Regents Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Texas A&M University, USA. Prof. J.N. Reddy is the Member of Executive Advisory Board – Ramaiah Group of Institutions. The topic of the Distinguished Lecture was entitled ​“Some Thoughts on Teaching, Research, and Service”. Prof. J.N. Reddy shared his experience and principles to carry out research to the Faculty Members and Ph.D. Scholars. With regard to Teaching, the Professor emphasized on having an Open Office concept to facilitate the Students’ learning. The Professor also mentioned that Teaching is scheduled, and Research is non-scheduled. In order to pursue Research as a continuum, the Faculty Members were advised to develop a multiple tasking capability within themselves. Lastly, every Faculty Members were informed to conduct service activity to their Profession, University and Society at large. More than 230 Faculty Members and Students actively participated in the Event.
