On August 15, 2023 – Event commenced with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony at University House, Gnanagangothri Campus. The tricolor flag was unfurled by Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, RUAS. The crowd stood in unity as the national anthem echoed, filling the air with a sense of pride and devotion. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Raina addressed the gathering, followed by which Ms. Spoorthi PG Research Scholar, FPH delivered a speech on sacrifices made by freedom fighters and event was graced with patriotic song performance by Ms. Deepthi and Ms. Samyuktha PG Research Scholars, FPH.

Azad Kadam — Walk with Tiranga event was jointly organized by NSS RUAS & Rotaract Club of RUAS to commemorate India’s 76^th Independence Year. The event aimed to bring together faculty & students, volunteers of RUAS to express their love for the nation and honor the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. Students also participated in Har Ghar Tiranga movement continuing the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations and encouraged public to hoist flag in their home. Walkathon covered a distance of about 03KM in & around RUAS campus with around 90+ youth taking part in this energetic event showing their patriotism and dedication towards the country. After completion of the walk breakfast was served to all the participants. 

The Independence Day Walk with Tiranga event was a resounding success, bringing together students from all walks of life to celebrate the essence of freedom and unity. The event provided a platform to pay homage to the past, celebrate the present, and envision a bright future for our beloved nation. Through the combined efforts of organizers, participants, and volunteers, the event truly captured the spirit of patriotism and served as a reminder of the sacrifices that shaped India’s destiny.
