Ms. Puja Krishna

Assistant Professor

Ms. Puja Krishna is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the School of Social Sciences at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. She is a senior research fellow pursuing her doctoral degree from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Bihar, India. Her doctoral research delves primarily into the sociological underpinnings of health behavioural patterns and treatment seeking attitude among urban families.

Ms. Puja Krishna holds both Bachelor (B.A) and Masters (M.A) degrees in Sociology and qualified for the UGC- National Eligibility Test in 2019. She was awarded the university Gold Medal for being the highest scorer in Bachelor of Arts, Sociology at Patna University in 2017. Ms Krishna was also the recipient of the Sharda Devi Memorial Scholarship and Patna Women’s College Alumni Award for her recognition as a merit scholar in 2016. Her academic work has been recognized in the form of multiple journal publications and conference presentations. Ms. Krishna is a qualitative researcher with her major interests being in the areas of sociology of health, health seeking behaviour, digital health, and sociology of family.

In addition, Ms. Krishna is an organized and dependable scholar who believes in managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. She has a strong belief in teamwork and is open to collaborative commitment to performance.
