Dr. G S Venkatesh did MBBS from Mysore Medical College, Mysore University, MD from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, Dharwad University, DNB from Delhi. His field of specialization is Anaesthesia.

• Professor in the department of Anaesthesia at Mysore Medical College, Registrar (Evaluation), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
• Member of Syndicate and Member of Senate of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
• Director of Medical Education, Govt. Of Karnataka,
• Director of Advanced Research, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka

• Served as Scientific Committee Chairman in National Conference of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists held at Mysore in 2007
