Dr. Anbalagan Heroji has over 34 years of experience of which 25 years in corporate and 8 years in academics. I have a blended experience of corporate and academic that gives a unique perspective of understanding the corporate expectations of competencies from the student and academic rigor of shaping the student’s knowledge. This perspective provides a basis for assisting our student community in building and shaping their career.

Earlier to joining RUAS, I worked as Professor and Head of the Department of Training & Placement, in Siddaganga Institute of Technology, a reputed Engineering institution in the state of Karnataka for over 7 plus years. In this role, we partnered with 300 plus corporate for their hiring of fresh engineers and management graduates. In addition, I was the Chairman of Industry-Institute-Interaction Cell to explore and collaborate with industries to bridge the industry – academia gap. 

Before venturing into academia, I was working as Director with Stratadigm Education & Training Pvt Ltd, a professional training company, providing core banking domain specific training to employees of MNC banks having their Global Technology Centre in India. 

Earlier to this I was with MetLife India Insurance as Associate Director managing over 90 plus branches driving the topline of agency sales in the state of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.

My corporate experience predominantly focused on Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector spanning 25 years. 

I have done my B.Pharm from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu M.Tech in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, MBA from VMRF, a Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu and PhD in Knowledge Management collaborating with Salem Productivity Council & VMRF, a Deemed to be University.

In addition, I have undergone one-year General Management Program from IIM – Ahmedabad, Certified Financial Planner from Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd., India, Certified Forex Dealer, ACI Financial Markets Association, France and Licentiate Member from Insurance Institute of India.
