M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) had the privilege of hosting an eminent delegation from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur (UAS‑R) to discuss about collaboration, focusing on multidisciplinary research and student training/​exchange programmes. 

The delegation comprised Dr. M. Veeranagouda, Hon’ble Registrar, UAS‑R, Dr. Udayakumar Nidoni, Professor & Head, Dept. of Processing and Food Engineering, Dr. A. R. Kurubar, Professor & Head, Dept. of Horticulture, and Dr. J. M. Nidagundi, Head, IPR Cell & ABI Unit. 

The delegates met the senior leadership team of MSRUAS comprising Prof. K.K.Raina, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. O.P. Kharbanda, Pro-Vice chancellor, MSRUAS, Dr. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro — Vice Chancellor, Dr. Krishnamurthy Jayanna, Dean, Office of Research & Innovation, MSRUAS and Dean, Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences (FLAHS), Prof. Abby Mathew, Dean, Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT). The delegates held discussions regarding prospects of collaboration with MSRUAS and visited FLAHS, FHMCT & Faculty of Engineering (FET), to get an insight of the infrastructure and understand the research capabilities.

The delegates engaged in fruitful discussions, sharing insights and expertise in agricultural sciences, food process engineering, nutrition, food sciences and Agri-biotechnology, and expressed their views about positive collaboration with MSRUAS, which would foster multidisciplinary innovation, empower our students, and create a broader impact on society.

MSRUAS is enthralled to collaborate with UAS‑R for potential joint-multidisciplinary research, and knowledge-sharing that will enhance our educational offerings in the near future.
