Dr. M. R. Jayaram
Chancellor, Chairman
Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences
Dr. M. R. Jayaram is the Chancellor of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and Chairman of the Gokula Education Foundation. The eldest son of the late Dr. M. S. Ramaiah, he has been instrumental in building and expanding one of India’s leading education and healthcare groups.
Over several decades, he has guided the growth of more than 20 institutions across engineering, medicine, dental sciences, nursing, management, law and allied fields, serving over 14,000 students.
Beyond education, he has modernised major healthcare facilities, established specialised centres including an Advanced Learning Centre and India’s largest rehabilitation centre, and created scholarship trusts for meritorious students. He also serves as Chairman of Valdel Corporation and is actively involved in community development and philanthropy. He has been conferred honorary doctorates by Coventry University (UK) and the University of Illinois, Chicago (USA).
Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina
Vice Chancellor
Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences
Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina joined Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences as Vice Chancellor in April 2021. Prior to this, he served as Vice Chancellor of DIT University, Dehradun, for more than six years. Earlier, he spent nearly three decades at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, where he held successive senior positions including Acting Director, Deputy Director, Dean of Faculty, Dean (Resource Planning & Generation), Dean (Research & Sponsored Projects), and Head of the School of Physics & Materials Science.
A materials scientist by training, he holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Solid State Materials and completed post-doctoral research at the University of Manchester (UK). He has published over 250 research papers, supervised 33 Ph.D. and 40 postgraduate theses, and established a recognised Materials Research Laboratory. He is a Fellow of the Punjab Academy of Sciences and a recipient of multiple national awards for contributions to teaching and research.


Mr. S. Ashok Rao
Registrar
Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences
Mr. S. Ashok Rao assumed charge as Registrar of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in July 2025. He brings more than three decades of senior administrative experience across premier institutions.
He served for 17 years in various capacities in the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, followed by 17 years as Senior Administrative Officer at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research). He later served as Registrar of the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bengaluru, for three years. He holds a postgraduate degree in Management from Nagpur University, along with degrees in Science and Law and a Diploma in Business Management. He is also a recognised trainer in Government of India administrative rules and procedures.
Prof. R. V. Ranganath

Prof. R. V. Ranganath holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore University, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His research focuses on sustainable concrete technologies, including fly ash, self-compacting, and geopolymer concretes, with approximately 60 research publications and association with multiple doctoral theses.
He has extensive academic leadership experience. At BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, he served as Head of the Department of Civil Engineering for six years and as Dean (Academics) for four years. He later served as Principal of BMS Institute of Technology, Yelahanka. He has been closely associated with the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in outcomes-based education, evaluator training, and Washington Accord processes. He is a recipient of the AICTE Career Award for Young Teachers and the ICI-FOSROC Award for Outstanding Concrete Technologist.

Electronic City Campus
Sekhar G. N. serves as Campus Director of Ramaiah University College of Engineering at the Electronic City Campus. An experienced academic and administrator in higher education, he brings substantial prior experience as a professor and academic leader. In his current role, he works closely with the Principal and University leadership to oversee campus operations, infrastructure, student support systems, and the overall academic environment at RUCE.
Dr. T. Christy Bobby
Principal, Ramaiah University College of Engineering (RUCE)
Dr. T. Christy Bobby is Principal of Ramaiah University College of Engineering and Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, RUAS. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Image Processing & Machine Learning (2013), an M.S. in Biomedical Image Processing & Neural Networks (2005), and a B.E. (1995).
With over 26 years of academic and research experience, she has held teaching and research positions at institutions including East Point College of Engineering, Madras Institute of Technology, MVJ College of Engineering, and Bharat Institute of Science & Technology. Her research interests include image and signal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and healthcare applications. She is a recipient of the Outstanding Professor of RUAS award (2020).
