Research & Innovation
Research is the Core focus at RCPT
Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy’s research initiatives subscribe to World Physiotherapy’s Policy on Research which states that “the generation, dissemination and implementation of physical therapy research evidence is essential for the practice of evidence-based physical therapy.”
College’s research priorities are designed to cater to the emerging health needs of the profession and our community. The College, through an iterative process, has identified six key thrust areas to guide its research priorities and they include:
- Active Aging
- Diagnostic Studies
- Health Promotion
- Pain
- Rehab Across Life Span
- Technological Advancements in Physiotherapy Practice
Our college’s strengths lie in the competency of the faculty in the process of research.
The faculty members are active in regional, National and International networks and associations and this has facilitated collaborative research.
Over 60% of the faculty members have a track record of receiving research grants either individually or as a team from Government Departments, Institutions, professional associations, and International Organizations.
