The Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences is truly a multidisciplinary institution within the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences with a strong focus on interdisciplinary education, training, and research.
We offer Bachelors, Bachelors- Honours, Masters and Doctoral programmes.
Most of our teaching faculties are PhD or Postdocs from institutions of repute who bring a lot of experience in applied research. We encourage our students to take part in research and publications as well. We have been around as a faculty for only 4 years, and already some of our faculty are awarded with grants from ICMR, DBT, VGST and Indian Academy of Sciences, and we hope we will have many more in the years to come. We have close working relationships with international universities such as the University of Illinois, Chicago, and the international infectious disease and global health training program of the University of Manitoba, Canada.
A unique strength of our academic and research programs are because of co-location and collaboration with Ramaiah Medical College and hospitals as well as Faculty of Dental Sciences.
In today’s context where health scenario and its impact is unpredictable and can get very challenging as witnessed recently with the recent global pandemic, the students of today need a multidisciplinary exposure both in terms of education and research. Ramaiah University of applied sciences as well as the Faculty of Life and Allied health Sciences is geared up to meet these needs of tomorrow.
