Oral Medicine & Radiology
Oral Medicine and Radiology is a branch of dentistry where we focus on identification and medical management of various diseases of head and neck through detailed examination of the patients.
Services
3D scan
For advanced imaging of head and neck regions in three dimensions
2D scan
For identifying various pathologies in tooth and associated structures in two dimensions
Intra Lesional injections
Minimally invasive procedure used to deliver medication directly into oral mucosal lesions, facilitating targeted treatment
Photodynamic Therapy
Involves the application of photosensitive agents followed by exposure to light, effectively targeting and destroying abnormal cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue
Low Level LASER Therapy
To stimulate cellular function, promoting healing in oral mucosal lesions, alleviating dentinal hypersensitivity, and reducing muscle pain
Sialography
A diagnostic imaging technique that involves injecting a contrast agent into the salivary ducts to visualize and evaluate the structure and function of the salivary glands
Management of Salivary gland disorders
which involves conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and muscles that control the jaw movement
Biopsy
A diagnostic procedure where a small tissue sample is collected from the mouth for examination under a microscope, aiding in the diagnosis of various oral diseases and conditions
Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology
A procedure where a thin needle is used to extract a sample of cells or tissue from abnormal areas or lesions in the mouth which is then examined under a microscope by a pathologist to determine the nature of the lesion, whether it’s inflammatory, benign, or malignant.
Exfoliative cytology
Is a simple, pain-free, non- invasive, non-aggressive and rapid technique. That helps in the microscopic study of cells shed or obtained from the body especially for diagnostic purposes.
Patient Education
Providing comprehensive information about oral health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, including crucial tobacco cessation counseling to promote overall well-being utilizing 3D models, audiovisual aids, and education materials.
