Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing aims to impart knowledge and skill through quality education to prepare students to work independently as midwife.
Experienced & dedicated staff of the OBG department strives to enable the students to function as knowledgeable and competent midwife to provide holistic care to the obstetrics and gynaecological needs of the women and new-born. Faculty and student actively involved in rendering nursing care adhering to the principles of Respectful Maternity Care.
OBG Nursing department strive to initiate Midwife Led Care Unit and Ramaiah Hospitals. The department encourages staff /student research in the core areas of women’s health, reproductive health, high-risk pregnancy and related health areas pertaining to women and new-borns. The department conducts hands on workshops to enhance the clinical competencies in assisting normal birth, which attracts participants from across Karnataka including students, Nurses and Nurse Educators.
