Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2014 and it imparts knowledge to undergraduate, postgraduate and academic research students.
The department has well qualified faculty members with rich experience of academia and industry.
Department has a strong industry collaboration and provides Internship / Project work with stipend for students. Students were placed with highest package of 13 Lakhs and average package of 4 Lakhs in reputed industries.
Students are motivated to pursue study abroad programmes at various foreign universities such as University of Illinois, Chicago; Texas A&M; University of Southern California after three years of undergrad study at RUAS.
Series of technical seminars, workshops, conferences, innovation challenge and Hackathon are conducted for students to provide exposure to contemporary and cutting edge technology. Annual industrial visits are organised for the benefit of students.
Thrust area of research in ECE department are Biomedical image and signal processing, Communication Systems, Computational electromagnetics, Machine learning, Multimedia processing, Photonics, Speech processing, VLSI system design and Wireless communication. Faculty members and research scholars publish their research work in journals of international and national repute. University promotes the culture of entrepreneurship amongst students and faculty members in collaboration with Ramaiah Technology Business Incubator (RTBI) on campus.
