Industrial Visit to KSRSAC and STPI – Bridging Theory with Practice!

The Department of Data Sciences and Analytics, RUAS, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, successfully organized an Industrial Visit on October 16, 2025, to two prestigious institutions —

• Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre (KSRSAC) and
• Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) – Centre of Excellence, Efficiency Augmentation (EA).

The visit offered our B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. Data Science and Analytics students valuable exposure to the real-world applications of Data Science, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence.

Highlights of the Visit:

• At KSRSAC: Students learned about geospatial data acquisition, spectral analysis, and how remote sensing supports governance, forest monitoring, and environmental management.
• At STPI, students interacted with startups and industry experts, gaining exposure to AI development pipelines, innovation ecosystems, and ethical considerations in emerging technologies. These interactions provided valuable industry perspectives and highlighted the role of data-driven solutions in solving real-world challenges.

The visit provided a comprehensive view of how data drives decision-making—from large-scale public applications to dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems.
