About
The department of Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing imparts courses related to child health nursing as per the curriculum of Ramaiah University of applied sciences and the Indian Nursing council (INC).
The department trains the students to provide child-centric, comprehensive and evidence-based care for infants, children and adolescents by integrating developmentally appropriate, family-centered, and culturally respectful care both in Hospital and community settings.
The department encourages students to participate actively in community outreach activities and are involved in routine health maintenance including growth and developmental screenings, immunization, perform school children screening activities and provide anticipatory guidance regarding common health concerns as a part of community outreach activities.

- Conducts annually awareness programs on exclusive breast feeding for antenatal and lactating mothers at hospitals, rural and urban community
