Overview
Bachelor of Vocational Course is 3 years Degree programme with multiple entry and exit options for PUC, ITI and Diploma Holders. This programme has a 60% focus on skill development and 40% focus on theoretical knowledge to make the candidates employable at each stage. The programme is offered full-time every year in the month of August / September. Admission eligibility needs candidates to have passed PUC or any +2, with relevant courses.
The program aims to help students acquire all the skills required for the domain and prepare them for the job market or entrepreneurial roles. The course curriculum is structured so that students will have ample job opportunities at the end of the year. Candidates are awarded Diploma certificate after completion of 1st year, Advanced Diploma after completing 2nd year and B.Voc degree after 3rd year. The exit options are open for the candidates at the end of each year if they wish to discontinue the course. Students can choose to work for a few years and rejoin the programme to complete 2nd and 3rd years to be awarded an Advanced Diploma or B.Voc Degree appropriately.
Scope
With a B.Voc Degree in a particular skill set, one can apply for specific skill based Visa rather than general work permit for foreign immigration. This also means that B.Voc has all the privileges that any other Degree holder enjoys, like going for Post-Graduation , taking UPSC, Bank, Railways exam etc., where basic Degree is a requirement.
