It gives me immense pleasure to lead the Department of Pharmacology, and our department is committed to staying at the forefront of this evolution by providing our students with the best possible education.
The department has a team of well-qualified and experienced faculty members to prepare the professionally qualified people with deep knowledge and perspective required for pharmacological evaluation of drugs. The department has excellent lab facilities which are being upgraded from time to time and provide abundant opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. We strive to provide our students with a strong foundation in the basic principles of pharmacology and exposing them to the latest advances in the field.
The department regularly organizes various professional development activities such as interactive Faculty Development Programs, Seminars, Webinars, Awareness programmes, workshops and skill development programme etc. by inviting technocrats from industries. I feel proud to announce that our department’s wide range of research activities are focused on understanding the mechanisms of drug action, developing new drugs, and repurposing existing drugs resulted in significant level of numerous publications in peer reviewed scientific journals.
The department persistently functions for the overall progress of students and inculcates the qualities that are expected and acceptable by various organizations as well as society.
