Welcome to Department of Chemistry. The Department was established in 2014 along with the inception of the University.
The Department envisages combining excellence in education with service to the industry and society. Our vision is to be recognized as research driven educational center with a student centric approach. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. In the Department, students are nurtured to become best Chemistry professionals to serve Industry, Academia and R & D organizations. Students have been motivated to enhance critical thinking, increasing the knowledge, ability to change information into knowledge and power of analyzing things technically. Many of our students are already in the lime light by cracking National Level Examinations such as JAM, JEST, etc with good All India Ranking.
I am sure in times to come; many students from our department will make indelible mark nationally and internationally in the field of Chemistry and make us proud. We are having hard-working students, a young and dynamic faculty, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in chemical sciences with strong overlap with related disciplines of Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Polymer Science and Material Science. The Department has faculty who not only are good at teaching, but also at hard core research, which is reflected in their high quality publications in peer reviewed journals, patents and execution of good number of research projects sponsored by various government agencies such as DST, DRDO, and University Sponsoring body Gokula Education Foundation along with RUAS seed money grants.
The department offers UG, PG and Doctoral programmes with curricula that conforms to the requirement of Industry, Academia and R & D Organizations along with exposure to Industrial atmosphere through internships and publishable quality dissertation works. We hold firm belief in our ability to succeed, and we nurture an attitude of self-reliance, confidence, commitment and responsibility to the motherland that we need to serve. Such is the psychology behind the young and dynamic Chemistry department in effect, the Department believes in building career, enriching minds and provides a remarkable experience that lasts a life time. I am confident that the students of the Department would justify the credibility of the Department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective field.
It is well known that “all work and no play” is not a good idea. Students are allowed to hard work and also enjoy themselves in cultural activities, sports and industrial visits. We treat students as peers, in work and beyond. Alumni are important stakeholders to us. Through this, I convey them the message that “we are proud of you and would love to be in touch, do write to us and drop by whenever you can”. There are many different ways in which you can contribute to the betterment of our department. We look forward to your active participation in taking our department to the next level.
