Dr Raghavendra V Kulkarni became the Director of Academics at RUAS in February 2020. As a Professor, he was heading the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 2018 before taking up his new role. In addition, he has been heading the Centre for Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence since 2016. In the last 32 years, he has served in various academic and administrative positions at technical institutes in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and USA. He has been a visiting researcher in Missouri University of Science and Technology, Missouri, and Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. His areas of research and teaching include machine learning, computational intelligence, wireless networks, embedded digital system design and image processing. He has published over 30 international peer reviewed research articles in conference proceedings and journals including IEEE transactions. He is a reviewer of technical articles in several IEEE Transactions, Elsevier journals and numerous international conferences.
