Dr. Mamatha K

Dr. Mamatha K is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy Practice under the Faculty of Pharmacy, RUAS. She leverages her 11 years of teaching experience and result oriented approach while managing projects and teaching theory classes at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels. 

At the university, she conducts focused research on pharmacoepidemiology, medication adherence, pharmacoeconomics, quality of life assessment, and real-world evidence in areas pertaining to the management of patients with cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and psychiatric disorders. She has authored or co-authored and published 15 research papers in various, reputed national and international journals. She has been the recipient of travel grants and scholarships to attend indexed international conferences. Till date, she has made 13 national and 7 international poster/​podium presentations.

Dr. Mamatha has been instrumental in organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences at the faculty. She is a regular speaker at seminars organized within the university. She has participated in and also coordinated various national surveys on polio and leprosy in an urban setting. As a facilitator, she helped coordinate the Inter-Disciplinary Community Oriented Programme (IDCOP) and offered medical services to remote villages. She is an active part of the departmental newsletter committee: Vista in the Faculty. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy Practice from Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Women’s University) in Tirupati (2018).
