RUAS Signs Memorandum of Agreement with Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, USA

RUAS signs Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California (USC), USA. The purpose of this agreement is to recognize the mutual interest in the field of Education, Research, Training and Development and Dissemination of Knowledge and also the Importance of Institutions of Higher Education’s role in promoting International Collaboration and increased contribution to Social Development.

Both the Universities have agreed to explore the collaboration possibilities with regard to:

  • Joint Educational and Research activities
  • Exchange of visiting Scholars for the purpose of conducting research
  • Discussion for the exchange of Undergraduate and Graduate students
  • Exchange of scholarly information including research papers, theses, books and magazines on relevant subjects and potentials
  • Extension of invitations for attending Scholarly and Technical meetings in National and International Conferences

The MoA was signed by our Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. M.R. Jayaram, and our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.S. Sritharan representing RUAS. In parallel, the Dean of Viterbi School of Engineering - Professor Yannis Yortsos signed the agreement representing USC.

After the MoA signing ceremony, Prof. Yannis Yortsos delivered a Distinguished Guest Lecture on “Engineering a Better World for All Humanity”. In the presentation, Prof. Yortsos highlighted the Top 10 accomplishments of USC in the last one year. The Professor highlighted on the importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) which are driving the economies across the World. In summary, the importance of Social-Behavioral aspects in Technology and Engineering was emphasized in the Presentation. All the Deans, Directors and HoDs of RUAS actively participated in the event.

RUAS Signs Co-Operation Agreement with Ural Federal University, Russia

RUAS Signs Co-Operation Agreement with Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (UrFU), represented by our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S. S. Sritharan. The purpose of this Agreement is developing educational, creative and business relations between UrFU and RUAS in the field of economics and business; tourism and hospitality management; ecology and environmental safety management; IT; materials technology; construction and engineering systems; heat and power engineering.

RUAS Signs Memorandum of Agreement with University of Texas at Arlington, USA

RUAS Signs Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), USA represented by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.S. Sritharan. The purpose of this MoA is to promote interest in the teaching and Research activities of the Institution and to deepen the understanding of the economic, cultural and social environment of the respective Institutions.

Both the Universities have agreed to explore the collaboration possibilities with regard to:

  • Promote Institutional Exchanges by inviting Faculty and Staff of the other Party to Participate in a variety of Teaching and Research activities and Professional Development
  • Receive Undergraduate and Graduate Students of the other party for periods of Study and Research
  • Develop Joint-Degree Programs with shared advising responsibilities between the faculty members
  • Organize Joint Symposia, Conferences, Short Courses and Meetings on Research issues
  • Exchange information pertaining to development in Research at each institutions

Our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor was visiting eminent Universities in USA to establish partnerships and collaborations for the benefit of RUAS Community.

RUAS Signs Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Wright State University, USA represented by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.S. Sritharan. The purpose of this MOA is to build goodwill and foster a relationship that will promote intellectual exchanges with an International focus between students, faculty members and administrators. In an effort to Internationalize the life-long learning process, both parties agreed to participate in a formal exchange program that seeks to promote an academic exchange and provide collaboration in research efforts. RUAS Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE), represented by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.S. Sritharan. The purpose of this MOU is to explore possibilities of developing collaborative activities in student exchange, short-term academic programs, summer or winter programs, academic meetings, conferences and seminars, Faculty and Staff exchange, developing common interest in stand-alone projects and collaborative research.

RUAS Signs MoU with Arizona State University (ASU), USA

RUAS entered into a Global General Collaborative Agreement with Arizona State University (ASU), USA. ASU is governed by the Arizona Board of Regents, a body corporate established by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States of America.

Both the Universities have agreed to explore the collaboration possibilities with regard to:

  • To identify opportunities for the exchange of faculty and research staff
  • To exchange and educate academic personnel through sabbaticals, short stays, seminars, courses, workshops, etc.
  • To jointly develop research programs and projects
  • To jointly develop undergraduate and graduate programs
  • To exchange information in the fields of interest to both institutions
  • To explore opportunities for student exchange, studies and research
  • To explore opportunities to send or receive visiting students for a semester or year
  • To jointly carry out professional and academic events
  • To mutually lend advice, technical support and services
  • To identify other areas of possible interest and collaboration

In particular, the agreement aims to jointly work with ASU Knowlegde Enterprise (Prof. Sethuraman Panchanathan, Prof. Susan Pepin) and W.P. Carey School of Business (Prof. Raghu Santanam) to develop deeper partnership and specific MoUs. The MoU was signed by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S. S. Sritharan representing RUAS and Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan, Chief Research and Innovation Officer representing Arizona State University (ASU) Knowledge Enterprise. In addition, the MoU Ceremony was witnessed by Pro – Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences), Dr. D. C. Sundaresh, Deans, Directors and Staff of Ramaiah Group.

RUAS Signs MoU with Texas A&M University, Texas, USA

RUAS entered into a MoU agreement with the College of Engineering, Texas A&M University (TAMU), Texas, USA. TAMU is the State's first Public Institution of Higher Learning which was established in 1876. Currently, TAMU is known as the flagship research-intensive University which offers 175 Master's and 92 Doctoral Degree programme enabling RUAS students with plethora of opportunities to pursue higher education and research with some of the world’s renowned Professors. Moreover, students at Texas A&M get a world-class education at a reasonable cost and about 72 percent of students receive some kind of financial aid through scholarships, grants, loans, waivers, and campus-based employment.

Both the Universities have agreed to explore the collaboration possibilities with regard to:

  • Exchange of Faculty for joint teaching and research programme
  • Encouraging the enrollment of qualified students in academic programme
  • Strengthening partnership and achieve academic excellence

The MoU was signed by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.S. Sritharan and Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. M.R. Jayaram from RUAS and Vice Provost & Chief International Officer, Dr. Michael Benedik and Executive Assoc. Dean of Engineering, Professor N.K. Anand from TAMU. In addition, the MoU Ceremony was witnessed by the leadership of Ramaiah Group which include Chief Executives Shri M.R. Sreenivasa Murthy, Shri B.S. Ramaprasad, Shri B.N. Subramanya, Adviser – GEF (M) and Professor N.V.R. Naidu, Principal – RIT.

MoU with Association of Liberian Universities at Monrovia, Liberia

RUAS signed a MoU with Association of Liberian Universities (ALU) in association with Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) at Monrovia, Liberia. ALU collaborates with Institutions of Higher Education to build a better future for the next generation of learners at Liberia. Prof. S.R. Shankapal, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of RUAS, Dr. Joseph Isaac, President – ALU and Dr. Osei K. Darkwa, President – GTUC signed the MoU along with presence of ALU members which include Presidents of various Liberian Universities and Colleges. In particular, the MoU aims at initiating interaction and cooperation between Institutions in the areas of Education and Research between Students, Faculty Members, Administrators and Research Centres. Further, Prof. S.R. Shankapal presented an overview and best practices of our University which was well received by the Liberian Educationists. Lastly, Dr. Osei K. Darkwa gave a guest lecture on ‘Contemporary Trends in Trans-National Education: Opportunities Beyond Borders’.

Agreement on Student Exchange Program with Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées

MSRUAS signed an agreement with Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées (IPSA), France on 21st October 2016. The Student Exchange program is conceived as a special International Exchange Program for students from IPSA and students from RUAS, to expose them to different cultural environments and diversity in education through a collaborative effort between the two institutions.

Research Cooperation Agreement between Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF), Warsaw, Poland and MSRUAS

MSRUAS entered into a Research Cooperation Agreement with Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF), Warsaw, Poland to establish long-term academic cooperation. Under this Research Cooperation Agreement, MSRUAS will jointly apply through IEEF for international funding calls from European Union, European Commission, Polish and Indian Government. In addition, the agreement has been made to encourage Faculty and Student Exchange along with organizing joint conferences collaboratively.
