Research Goals of the Centre
  • To analyse the current challenges in sanitation and waste management from public health, community service and governance perspectives for providing an affordable and sustainable solutions
  • To formulate and implement an awareness programme to emphasize the societal effects of poor sanitation and waste management on urban communities
  • To design and implement innovative, ecofriendly and sustainable technologies for sanitation, waste management and re-cycling to address the specific nature of prevalent problems
  • To study and provide solutions for environmental issues arising from improper waste management
  • To design and develop processing plants conforming to the requirements of specified category of waste management
  • To commercialize processes and products for the efficient disposal of waste including bio-waste
  • To dessiminate knowledge on principles and good practices of waste management techniques
