Dr. Raghavendra V. Kulkarni obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication Engineering) degree from Karnatak University, Dharwad, India, in July 1987. He obtained his Master of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering (Digital Techniques and Instrumentation) from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, in January 1994. Further, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA, in April 2010..
In the last 32+ years, Dr. Kulkarni has served in various academic and administrative positions in technical institutes in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and USA. He has been a visiting researcher in Missouri University of Science and Technology, Missouri, and Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. His areas of research and teaching include machine learning, computational intelligence, wireless networks, embedded digital system design and image processing. He has published over 30 international peer reviewed research articles in conference proceedings and journals including IEEE transactions.
The total of JCR impact factors of Dr. Kulkarni’s research publications is close to 50. His h-index is 11, i-10 index is 12 and the total citation count is reaching 1800 (Source:Google Scholar ). He is currently guiding eight PhD students and several M Tech students. He has conducted tutorials, presented papers and chaired technical sessions in over twelve international conferences in the USA, Australia, Greece and India. He is a reviewer of technical articles in several IEEE Transactions, Elsevier journals and numerous international conferences. He has served on technical program committees of numerous international conferences. He has received VGST’s Award for Research Publications (ARP) for 2013-14 from Professor CNR Rao, a Bharat Ratna. He is listed in Marquis’ Who-Is-Who in Science and Technology, 2011.

Dr. Kulkarni is a passionate collector and a keen listener of Indian classical music. He also plays the Indian flute Bansuri in the Hindustani Classical Style.
